The Monster Energy NASCAR Series heads to Las Vegas for the next race of the season, the Pennzoil 400, a 267-lap, 400-mile race held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is located just a couple km north of The Strip. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is one of the most complete racing complexes in the world, including road courses, a 3/8 mile oval, a dirt track and a state-of-the-art drag racing facility.

The game’s elite will be gunning their automobiles around every turn in hopes of winning the Pennzoil 400’s special championship belt, instead of the habitual trophy. This exceptional twist can be pegged into the boxing traditions of the city.

The race occurs at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised by FOX.

Last year, Brad Keselowski was outside front and pulling away, seemingly headed to victory in Sunday’s NASCAR race in Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Then abruptly a parts failure caused Keselowski to slow, allowing Martin Truex Jr. to catch and pass him with two laps remaining from the Pennzoil 400. The victory was Truex’s first of the season and eighth of his career.

Jimmie Johnson holds the record for most wins at the track using four but he has not won the race. Matt Kenseth has three wins along with his last.

Jeff Burton, Carl Edwards and defending champion Brad Keselowski have two wins each.

Roush Fenway Racing has the most team wins seven but none because 2011 while Hendrick Motorsports has five wins but not one since 2010. Joe Gibbs Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing and Team Penske have two wins each.

In terms of manufacturer wins, Ford has two wins in Las Vegas while Chevrolet has seven while Toyota has two and Dodge has one.

Harvick crossed the line nearly 3 seconds faster than second-place finisher Brad Keselowski, an eternity in NASCAR terms. He’s putting together a number of his best performances, and the veteran will seem to cut to current point leader Joey Logano’s lead. Continue…

Which driver will take victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway?
Sin City will get its first and only taste of NASCAR Sprint Cup activity, when the Pennzoil Tools 400 cruises to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

There are generally 36 Nascar Sprint Cup races and 35 Xfinity Series races per season, whilst Formula 1 generally runs 17-19 races.

This means there are a great deal more gambling opportunities in NASCAR, and greater rivalry deep to the year.

As you believe NASCAR odds you may want to try to remember that the first season results do not mean much at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Just because a driver obtained in Daytona or Phoenix International Raceway, doesn’t mean they will succeed in NASCAR betting odds in Las Vegas.
